YouTube copyright claim on my Relive video

If you uploaded an older Relive video to YouTube that uses music previously available in Relive, you may need to update your video's description to prevent a copyright claim.

Starting September 1, 2026, YouTube will begin recognizing these music tracks through Melodie's Content ID system. Melodie is our previous music provider.

Affected music tracks

The following tracks are affected:

  • Elixa

  • Golden

  • Legend

  • Samba

  • Sizzle

  • Surfing

  • Tempo

  • Waves

How to update your YouTube videos

For each affected YouTube video:

  1. Open YouTube Studio.

  2. Select the video you want to update.

  3. Edit the video's Description.

  4. Add the following code on a new line:

TFUBFW5ELU29ANL6

  1. Save your changes.

That's it! You don't need to re-upload your video, and adding this code won't affect its visibility or performance on YouTube.

When should I do this?

Please update your videos before September 1, 2026. After that date, YouTube may automatically place copyright claims on videos containing affected music. While these claims can still be resolved, updating your videos beforehand is the easiest way to avoid them.

Which videos are affected?

This only applies to older Relive videos that:

  • were uploaded to YouTube, and

  • use music that was previously licensed through Melodie.

If your Relive video uses a different soundtrack, or wasn't uploaded to YouTube, you don't need to do anything.
